The girl was arrested near the checkpost located in the Balambat area. The girl revealed during initial interrogation that she was abducted from Peshawar a few days back and the abductors injected her with sedatives after bringing her to the area.
The girl said she had tried to escape but was unable to. She surrendered when she saw the security officials after the abductors had left her with a suicide jacket.
The terrorists who had abducted the girl fled from the checkpost in a car as soon as they realised that the security officials had noticed her presence.
